About
With nearly a decade of experience in the legal industry, Emily brings both expertise and empathy to her role as a Senior Paralegal. She began her legal career in 2015 working in environmental (EENR) law, building a strong foundation in regulatory compliance and case management. In 2017, Emily took a brief professional detour to participate in the Disney College Program, where she had the opportunity to work in entertainment at Walt Disney World—a unique experience that continues to inform her people-centered approach to client service. Emily has been dedicated to family law—and to Berkich Lucey Law Group—since 2023.
Emily holds a Bachelor of Science in Legal Support and Services and a Paralegal Certificate from Purdue University Global. She plays a key role in supporting the partners at the firm by managing all phases of case development, including drafting complex pleadings, conducting legal research, reviewing and preparing detailed discovery, and ensuring procedural compliance across jurisdictions throughout Northern Nevada.
Emily’s commitment to family law is rooted in her belief that children should always be the most important consideration in any case. She is especially passionate about matters involving children and approaches them with both compassion and a strong sense of responsibility for protecting their best interests. As the wife of an Army veteran and daughter of a retired Marine, Emily also brings a unique perspective to her work, particularly in cases involving military families, where legal and emotional challenges often intersect. Clients and colleagues appreciate Emily’s compassionate approach, clear communication, and steady presence during emotionally challenging times. She believes that staying focused on long-term outcomes is key to helping clients navigate their legal journeys with confidence and clarity.
A first-generation Nevadan, Emily was born and raised in Carson City and now lives in Lake Tahoe with her husband, son, and three dogs. Outside the office, she enjoys the great outdoors, visiting Disney parks, and spending quality time with her nearby family.
